Despite the endless warnings, despite all the advice, despite the plethora of useful articles on the matter, it seems computer users everywhere just can’t help creating really crap passwords. Analysis of users’ passwords gathered from the recent Adobe attack revealed a slew of easy to remember passwords with this gem topping the list, “123456.”

Although Adobe has changed the passwords of the affected accounts and contacted the users to let them know how to reset their passwords, it looks as though Facebook is sending out warnings to those who have wisely decided to use the same email address and password to access their Facebook account. Obviously the lesson here is to stop using the same exact login information for all your accounts, switch up the passwords at least.

Facebook has stated that whenever their is a high-profile online security breach it runs its data to see if users have infact used the same credentials to log in to their system. Therefore finding out who’s accounts have been compromised. Facebook has yet to make a statement regarding how many accounts have been affected aside from shooting out the above security warning to select users.

Perhaps now is a good time to change your password from “qwerty” to something a little more difficult to crack.
